I buried what I cut off from my hair in the sand and dove back under.

Lyon sighed. "Sure is stressful being a prince."
"Sure it is." I said, sarcastically.
"It is!" Lyon objected. "Really!"
"Really? No." I laughed. "Lyon, please."
"Oh come on, we're best friends, Jade. I would expect you to understand."
"I do, perfectly. My life isn't easy either. I'm totally flunking all my school courses. And completely single." I threw in the last bit after a short pause.
"I could tutor you. And yeah, same here. But since I'm a prince, I can't just hook up with anybody."
"And you think I can?" I blinked.
"Yeah. Go up to that guy, and I'll bet you he says yes if you ask him to go out with you, Jade." He said, pointing to a merman who was swimming down near us. His hair looked freshly cut, and he was pretty cute.
I laughed. "Okay. 20 silver coins."
"Child's play for me, but whatever you say. Money is money. Especially when you don't have to work for it." Lyon smirked.
I shook my head and walked infront of the guy, hoping he wouldn't bump into me. "Hi... I'm Jade." I smiled.

I was studing her intensely. She didn't seem like a threat, but most don't. I wondered which clan she had came from. I followed her, staying hidden. She wouldn't be able to me.

She didn't seem like a threat, so I swam out to her. "Why are you here?"

"Nice. Well, I was just thinking if you'd like to go out, sometime." I said, I blinked. I had no idea why I was doing this. I liked Lyon. Wait... I thought to myself. No... I couldn't like Lyon. We were best friends. I noticed there was a long silence in my conversation with Antenor.

"Um...do you always go around asking random people to go out? Plus, I'm taken," I lied. She was kind of scaring me.
