"You don't have to tell me if you don't want to," Jack said, quickly. "I just thought, cuz the noise was of a child crying, that it obviously is meant to mean something to someone."

".." Michela sighed. "Might as well tell you now." She rubbed the back of her head. "My mom died when I was a kid; Dad remarried to this total cow. She's why I'm not a stuck-up Philomene like she was; I even dared say anything against her precious nation, just one thing about something as stupid as the weather, and she'd hit me and say I was worse than a Vulpine."

[Miranda_]

"That's pretty bad; so, you thought the crying sounded like you?"

[Silent_Wolf]

She nodded, a little miserably. "That's why I leave the room so fast if Hannah or any other little kid starts crying. I remember what happened when I was a little kid and start shaking and I just hate it. Mom died because she got sick when we were over in Vulpe; some lung thing, it's over here too so she could've caught it here. Dad never divorced that b*tch; soon as I was able, I was out of that house and out of that province."

"I can hardly remember my parents; I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing."

"You'd've loved my mom. She was a sweet lady."
