She sat down on the ground and opened one of the bags, frowning a bit as she looked through it. "... Oh, there it is!" She pulled something out; it was a necklace with a semi-dusty blue gem on it, with a few marble beads. She dusted it off and handed it to him. "Would that cover the rest?"

"Come in; I just need to put the money away, then I'll show you your room. Mum and Dad aren't here at the moment, they took the carriage out. What's your name, by the way?"
