Siren rolled her eyes, "You dont even let people into your personal home. you are so anal about things."
Nein shrugged and went to look for something to help Rayen be more invonerable to her breathing issue.

Denman stalked around the hallway, listening for sounds. He heard females talking. Slowly, he walked up on them, turning into a rat and sliding in a crack in the wall, listening on their conversation. They were talking about his brother, and he saw Claire, his brother's servant.

Aiden, Denman thought. Where had he heard that name? As quiet as a mouse, literally (for he turned into a mouse to sneak to a closer hiding place), he slid behind a loose brick.
