"No, really? I am staying with my grandparents, and their small car didn't let me bring much but my school uniform, a laptop, and some undergarnments. They bought all of my clothes. When school is over, I will be going back to my father. He needed some time alone when my mother died. I can leave. You probably already hate me. Everyone else does," I let a tear fall down my cheek. The wound was still raw from my mother's death.

"I guess I hide my fear of change through attractive clothes. People pay more attention to my clothes than my attitude, and I can be fearful of death and of big change without everyone noticing. I was rather popular at my old school, and when my mother died, well, I changed, and everyone noticed. They didn't notice as much when I went back to brand names. And then I moved here. My last school was year-round, so I was never away from my friends."
