I rolled my eyes and grabbed my cell phone from my purse. I noticed I had more drugs in there and put it beside me. I dialed the hospital and they sent the call to Kaitlyn's room. She might not want to talk, but we needed to. And we both knew it.

I held the phone from my ear, looking at the buttons. "I don't know how to hang up this phone. What do you want? I was about to unplug the machine and die of an allergic reaction."
