I sighed. "Whatever you say." I crawled into the back seat and went for a nap while Morgandy went to talk to Carter.

I walked up to the door and knocked. I was a nervous wreck. I mean last night I had walked out on him. But..ohh..it was so complicated.

"Wow, this place is cool. Are all the rooms like this?" I asked Kaitlyn.
"I'm guessing no," I said, as I walked over to the mini-refrigerator stuffed with miscellaneous things.

I shrugged. "I will check later. I still have to move in. My grandparents don't really want me in a dorm, but you know, oh well. This place looks nice."

"Yeah. Definitely. I was sent here by my parents. They don't want me in the house. They said I have to go away for a while to clear my mind. I have no idea what that means." I said, grabbing an unopened soda out of the fridge, and falling back onto my bed.

I kept the tears inside. Whenever anyone mentioned parents, I thought of pain, and loss. And the scar. I crawled onto my bed and put my face into the pillow.

I looked at Kaitlyn. Then I shifted over.
"I mess everything up. I'm sorry."

"I mess everything up," I said into the pillow. It probably sounded like a growl. I sat up. "You would never understand."

I sat up.
"And why wouldn't I, huh?" I said, flaring my nostrils a little.

"Because no one except Morgandy does," I sighed. "It is something people can pretend to understand, but never truly understand if they don't go through it."
