This RP is for RPG Newbies Only. Experienced ppl, please don't interfere.

Setting: First year. You have been sorted and it's your first day of classes. What house are you in? Are you friends or foe with Harry and his friends? What side are you on, the side of good or the side of evil?

I will also add the following additions; firstly, tho I am not participating, I will be reading and checking over this RP to make sure that players are following the rules. Secondly, I will draw your attention to the following rule, which if broken will result in you being banned from the RP:

4. Never Godmod or make your character perfect. Godmoding is considered the worst crime ever by every RP I know, anyway. If you don't know what Godmoding is, it's controlling a character not your own. If they give you permission, then fine but don't just start doing it anyway! Also, don't make your character perfect and without faults. These characters are called Mary Sues and are despised by RPers.

Basically, anyone who either starts godmoding or who posts as a Mary Sue will first be warned, then if they don't change their post/character, they will be removed from the RP. That means, their posts will be deleted and they will be informed that they are not allowed to RP here any more. Refusal to accept this could result in a temp ban. If you don't know whether or not your character is a Mary Sue or not, then PM your form to me and I will tell you. Basic signs of a Mary Sue are as follows:

1. Good at everything, with no weaknesses. Your character must have faults, and weaknesses. You can't list their strengths as "everything"; they must be bad at something, and have a character fault, for example, a hot temper or clumsiness.

2. Girlf of a major character. This RP is set at the beginning of the first year, which means that you are all 11 years old. Therefore, you do not have boyfs. Harry Potter didn't have his first crush til 3rd year, and he didn't think of dating til 4th year.

3. Makes canon characters behave out of character. If you play the canon characters, you must make them interact with your character exactly as they would in the book; for example, Snape favouring Slytherins or Draco hating Muggles.

Finally, please don't suddenly switch the scene for no reason, and certainly not just in one post.

I walked up, trembling. "It won't put me in Sytherin, will it?" I asked Prof. McGonagall. "I'm not sure what it'll put you in." She replied. I put the Sorting Hat on my head. "Hmm...Good spellcaster, a bit on the miscevious side.."
"Must be SLYTHERIN!!" the hat cried.
"Oh, no, please get me a transfer!" I begged McGonagall. I went and sat at the end of the table, away from everyone else because they heard me begging.

Appearance: Black hair; purple eyes. [T_T Is this too Mary Sue or something? Pweeze tell me...I just like purple...a lot...It's not rainbow at least XD] Her hair is long, and half of it covers her face.
Personality: Quiet, but if angered very dangerous. Has an air of hate around her...Very bad history. [T_T ish too gothic?] Tends to get in trouble, but has ways...around it...

Fai stepped up slowly silently, yet swiftly, one side of her hair in her face and the other brushed away with a dark purple hairpin.
She was wearing silver earrings all the way up her ear.
Her only visible eye was bright purple, and everyone had the feeling that this girl was dangerous as she walked by.
"Please hurry up, Yuriko," Professor McGonagall said impatiently.
She sent a glare at the professor, knitting her eyes together and emitting a low hiss...which was what everyone but Harry heard.
Harry heard, "You don't know who you're dealing with."
She finished walking up to the hat, and placed it on her head.
This is easy. You're intelligent, cunning, dangerous...What else?
SLYTHERIN!
The Slytherin table erupted, happy that they had a new member...And a dangerous one, nonetheless.
Fai smiled evilly, emitting another low hiss.
"That was just too obvious," Harry heard.

Appearance: Small (height) and scrawny for his age. He has dirty blonde hair that is abnormally messy, and short. He wears square rimmed classes, and has a tongue peircing.
Personality: Smart, slightly unusual. Good hearted and free spirited, so his mother says.
Class (as in Pure Blood, Half Blood, or Muggleborn): Halfblood
Strengths (as in subjects and non-subjects): Divination, Transfiguration, and Potions.
Weaknesses (as in subjects and non-subjects): Herbology and Charms.

Seth sat at his table, reading. This was not unusual for Seth. On the contrary, it was completely normal. He liked books. He believed he was wrongly sorted, but found this thought lost deep inside his mind seeing as his main focus was put on the book he was reading.

It was a muggle book. Probably written not all to long ago. The spine of the book was still stiff, and the pages were not yet ash white like most of the other books Seth had. Though his family was not excessively poor, they were, without a doubt, not extraordinarily rich.

Seth closed the book carefully, as though not to damage it. He shoved it in a book bag he had brought, and looked to his watch. He wanted to make a break for the door and go up into his dorm badly, but it would be wrong to get in trouble at such time as this.
