Lissy sat with the tattered Sorting Hat on her head. Immediately it called out 'Ravenclaw!" excitedly she ran to the the dinning table where the other new Ravenclaw's were snaking on all different kinds of treats. Would her first year at Hogwarts be a wonderful experience like her parents, or would it be a disaster in the making? These and many more questions ran through her head, but none of them important at the moment for there was a pastry with her name on it.

"Alex!" called Professor McGonagal,looking around. A small girl stood up and had the Sorting Hat plopped on her head.
"Hmm..." said the Sorting Hat,deep in thought. "Lazy and stubborn,and a born procrastinator.." Alex felt her cheeks get hot. "But," said the hat,going on "True at heart,and brave." "GRYFFINDOR!" shouted the sorting hat.
Alex let out a whoop,and and sat down with her new house.

Ooc: No-one is allowed to be pure blood any more, cuz too many people were doing so and there aren't really that many pure bloods around. Also, the newbies are sorted together, so there wouldn't be one new girl on her own. Apart from these things, which means you'll need to edit your profile and change them, your profile and first post are fine.

Appearance: Black hair (Usually worn in plaits tied up with ribbons)
Personality: Eager to learn but VERY easy to wind up and when she gets wound up she thinks everyone is going against her when they are only doing it for fun. Anyway she starts being mean and screaming and asking why she's even friends with them. She loves her friends but hates her enemies.
Class (as in Pure Blood, Half Blood, or Muggleborn): Muggleborn
Strengths (as in subjects and non-subjects): DADA, Transfiguration & Herbology
Weaknesses (as in subjects and non-subjects): Potions, Divination, Care of magical creatures (she gets too scared) & History of magic (she always falls asleep and gets detention) Also as mentioned earlier she is very easy to wind up. Sometimes she gets so caught up with lessons she forgets about her friends and isn't there for them when they need her.

'YES!' Thought Alyssa as she skipped out of the hall. She was in Ravenclaw
and there was nothing anybody could do to upset her now.

Alyssa walked along the corridor buzzing. Not with happiness. Nor with excitement for that matter. Oh no she had a rather large amount of chocolate frogs on the train. They made her go hyper. 'Hmm' she thought. 'I wonder how weird I am when I'm hyper. I've not eaten that much chocolate before' She could feel her stomach churning when she got back to the common room. Maybe she had mistaken that buzzing feeling for her going to turn hyper when in fact... Oh no she could feel all of those chocolate frogs coming up now. She just about made it into the girls loo before... Bleeeurgh!

Alyssa stood up and wiped her face with a tissue. 'Lovely' she said to herself. She turned around and saw a girl staring at her. Seeing as Alyss was quite self consious and she did not yet know who this girl was, she ran off into the bedroom.

Lissy watched the girl with her similar name in disgust. Only because she herself was now feeling a little nauseated. Seeing other people get sick was not the prettiest sight in the world. "I hope I don't do the same." she thought nervously. " Your Alysa right?" She asked he fellow Ravenclaw.

"That's right" said Alyssa sheepishly. She moaned and ducked under the cover. "What's your name?"
