You may want to edit your post to say DADA then, or people might get confused. Also, when you RP, don't make other people instantly like your character; that's not realistic.

Shia stood in the everlasting line, trying her hardest to remain patient. To keep herslef occupied she scanned the spacious room filed with students who were clapping after each time the hat called a house. Obviously the occupier had worked, because all of a sudden it was her turn! Shia's skinny legs traveled towards the chair and the rather old woman who was holding a quite ugly hat. After a quick sigh she sat into the enormous chair and felt the hat being placed on her head. Soon she heard a voice;
"Hmm... Quiet...Definately not Gryffindor..."
Shia thought, Dang...
"Isn't anything special about this one... Not Slytherin..."
She let out another sigh, this one from relief.
"Not really bright..."
Come on stupid hat, just pick one alre-, Shia's thoughts were interrupted by the hat.
"HUFFLEPUFF!"
A table stood up, clapping the loudest of all. She guessed that was her house so she walked towards the table. As she trotted over to a seat another first year was being tortured by the hat.
I can already tell I wont like this place, Shia thought as she sat in a chair that faced another student.

Liza sat, scanning the huge dining room - there was so much to take in! Hogwarts was so magnificent....and old. She loved old buildings. And books. And fashions, and.....Really, Liza just loved old things. But no matter how content she was just sitting there and taking in her surroundings, she couldn't dismiss the grumbling in her stomache. The last thing Liza had had to eat was a Pumpkin Pastie on the train - almost five hours ago.

Oh, when's the feast going to start? .....Where's the food?....Oooh, the ceiling's beautiful....Ew. People shouldn't pick their noses in public like that.

Her thoughts went on like this for a while and she was getting quite anxious, when the tall, bearded man she had noticed before stood up and began to make a speech of sorts. She noted he had a very powerful voice. That must be....Professor Dumbledore, the Headmaster? Yeah, that must be him.

Luckily, though, the speech was short, and without further delay Professor Dumbledore raised his arms and said something about 'tucking in' and - food appeared.

I love magic.

Since she wasnt raised around a lot of magic, Shia was utterly surprised when the food magically appeared, lining the immeasurable table with tasty treats. Even though the food looked impossible delicious, Shia could not find any room in her stomach, most of the space being taken up by fear.
The fear she was feeling right now wasn't the kind you feel when you are about to die. No, hers was the fear of not fitting in. Who would want to be friends with a button collector or someone with chicken legs? As she pondered about this, she soon felt something light hit the back of her head. Out of surprise, she turned around swiftly to find a balled up piece of paper on the ground.
Shia bent over to pick up the "weapon" and looked around the room fiercly. From the way they were laughing, she suspected a few boys from Slytherin had hit her.
One boy, who had white hair, cackled as he said, "Where'd you get all those buttons from, your mummy?"
What that boy didnt know was that Shia lost her temper too easily. Instead of just turning around and ignoring the comment, she picked up a pitcher of water then walked over towards where the young man sat. He looked at her with cautious eyes. Finally, she let the water spill over the top of his head, water splashing everywhere.
For a few seconds it was silent in the great hall, then a series of laughter burst out. Shia smiled to herself, that was until she heard everyone grow silent. She looked around to see what had caused them to immediately grow quiet. Then, she found the reason: Dombledore. The headmaster of Hogwarts was raising his hands in an orderly fashion.
"Shia... Dentention for a week and 40 points taken off your grade. Maybe next time you'll chose a better path?" someone said in a hissing tone. Shia turned her head to see a tall, slinky man standing by her. Snape?
Shia stood in shock, feeling ignorant. How was she going to explain that she already had gotten into trouble? Her mind filled with thoughts as she meekly walked back to her seat, staring off into space. Everyone had began to chat again, but not Shia.
