Across Pura Island, home of the Healers and where all spirits rest, there has been chaos.
The Spirit Stones, priceless jewels that hold the Spirits, memories and thoughts of the dead, have been stolen. Entire beaches of silver sands emptied of their glittering gems.

And the Healers are dying. Within them, the light is fading, the gift waning into nothingness.

Without the Healer’s, there is widespread illness and suffering…

But the story does not start that way.
It starts in a old town on Faith Island, called Bayville. Legends say this place is cursed, with a blood price tithe every 100 years.
And the shadows do move in strange ways… But no price was ever paid.

Deirdre Greene was… currently asleep in someone else bed.
Blame the party her sister threw for their birthday. Seriously. She shouldn’t have drunk that much, and yet…
She got p*ssed. And laid. Go her.

Right now, her aquamarine green eyes were closed, her glossy black, waist-length hair strewn across the pillow.

I think she’s dreaming about sugary foods.

Beside Deirdre, Kana Kyaren stirred slightly. He hadn't meant to drink so much, but his sisters and brother had been annoying him for some reason he couldn't remember... he couldn't remember much of what had happened at the party. But, he did remember pulling a pretty girl and taking her home with him. Without even opening his eyes, he tried to go back to sleep before the hangover could hit.

Deirdre turned over, almost falling out of the bed. "Ah! Oops."

[Miranda_]

Kana groaned as his hangover hit him behind the eyes. "Did I die?"

[Sarah_K_O_M]

"Nope. You're alive." Deirdre groaned when she saw who it was, "More's the pity."

[Miranda_]

"That's mean." Kana slowly opened his eyes. "What happened?"

[Sarah_K_O_M]

"We.. uh..." She gestured to their lower regions, and the fact they were both naked.

[Miranda_]

"Oh... sh*t."

[Sarah_K_O_M]

"You don't say. "

[Miranda_]

"I um... I didn't mean to drink that much. It was just cuz my brother and sisters were bugging me the whole time. You must have seen them."
