Music in other languages?
Does anyone other than me listen to music in other languages?
I listen to a lot of J-pop (Japanese Pop) and K-pop (Korean Pop) and then some other songs in other languages like German. Does anyone enjoy music in other languages? Or am I the only one?! XD |
Don't know if this counts, but I know a song by a band called Kula Shaker that's entirely in Sanskrit. I don't know what it means, but I know it off by heart. The words are beautiful and go well with the tune, and to me, that's all that matters.
Govinda - Kula Shaker Govinda jaya jaya Gopala jaya jaya Radha-ramanahari Gavinda jaya jaya Nrsingadeva jaya nrsingadeva (Twice) (Repeat verse) Gaura gaura gaura hari Prabhupda govindam |
I love Caramelldansen by Caramell. ^^ It's in Swedish. I also have this French song, some Japanese, one Arabic, and some in languages I'm not so sure about. XD

I'm assuming by "other languages" you mean "languages other than English", right?
Well, I listen to some Estonian music of course (mainly Ruja and Urmas Alender), and some German bands, and also some in other languages. Hmm, let me think, I liked Nox (Hungarian), Alsou (Russian), some songs in French, Värttinä (Finnish)... can't think of any more right now, but I'm sure there's others as well. Oh and btw Miranda, I listened to that song, pretty good :D. |
I like one song by O-zone that is in Romanian. I like Calabria 2007, I think it is in a different langauge.

I dug about a bit and found this page; it translates Govinda and some other songs, too. http://premavatar.tripod.com/focm/lyrics.html |

Most of the songs I listen to are in other languages, mostly Japanese and Korean. I think that it sounds so pretty some of the music I find, and then people ask me, 'Why do you listen to it? You can't understand it.' I guess they don't think I look up the lyrics eh? Or I am learning Japanese? And some rap music you can't understand anyway even if it is in English. |
i love the "I am a Pizza" song in french its soo cute ^^
K-pop is good too. i can never find any j-pop because i normally get them confused with korean XD |
I can actually tell.
You can find groups here, http://wiki.theppn.org/Main_Page But the site is down right now, they experience technical difficulties a lot. But it's a really good source for J-pop or rock, K-pop or rock, and even C-pop. I use it for finding out when new singles and abulms come out, but it is inconveniently down (again) right now. I remember singing 'I am a Pizza' in French when I was in grade six actually, and then in English in kindergarten XD |
