RENT, the movie -

I just adored this movie. I love it. A lot of singing, so much drama.
I cried when Angel died. ;-; Anyone else like this movie? Far, far beyond the island, we dwelt in shades of twilight, through dread and weary days, through grief and endless pain. It lies unknown, the land of mine! A hidden gate to save us from the shadow fall. The lord of water spoke in the silence words of wisdom. I've seen the end of all: Be aware, the storm gets closer. I SO WANTED TO SEE IT!!!!!! It was out of theaters before I could though.
 I heard loads of songs from them and went on the official website though. LOVE THEM ALL. I think "Seasons of Love" will never get old.

 You know that one that goes "would you light my candle?" I forget what it's called, but the lyrics are so weird....what's with the girl who reminds everyone of dead people? Nice tune though, I hum RENT songs a lot....

When Angel died, I went to wipe my eyes with a tissue, and I poked myself in the eye with the darn thing. that killed it. ;-; Angel was my favorite. Sure, he was a drag queen, but come on! And yeah, Angel was the one who died. ;-; I loved him/her. She/he was my favorite, darn it.

Awww. As a present for the holidays, I got tickets to see RENT. I'm not really sure I know what the plot is all about though. Without spoiling any of it, can you tell me what basically happens?

It's pretty much about a group of friends who are trying to stop Benny, their landlord's son-in-law, from evicting them and a bunch of other tenants because without Avenue A - I think it's the place they live, not sure - they'd all be homeless. It's about life, love, and AIDS.
