I'm not a premium member, and never was. But the only extra features are the clothes are just a tiny bit prettier, and there are some animated things. If you want animated dollies, you can just make dolls on tha dollmaker, and animate them yourself. If you don't kno how, you can ask someone that can. (I can.)

animation and clothes by me.

oh its deffinitly worth it.
:]
as pointed out by the above person, theres alot of perks.
but some of the downsides to it, are that you have to worry about dollstealing, you have to put your name on all of your dolls to prevent stealing, getting credit for your maker (if you decide to make one), not being able to make certain face such ass the ":[" face without getting an angry smiley and so on, getting asked "C4N YHU LYK33 SH4R3 UR PR3Mii WiiT M3H Y0?" on a regular basis, people wanting to take your account, the extra bar on the top of your avatar chat screen for smileys; which puts the screen size out of base from non-premis to premis, etc.

It's definately worth it. I bought a premium account and I absolutely love it! Especially the personal makers.

Premiumship is worth MORE THAN EVERY CENT you pay!

And it's WAY more than just slightly prettier clothes!
There's the ability to create and run your own contests which I LOVE because there are WAY too many cheaters in the contest section, so I'm able to delete them straight away if they cheat in my contests.

And then of course my Personal Maker! There's no better feeling (okay maybe a few... ) than seeing what you've accomplished and put together on your personal maker...not to mention all the Dollmails you get of people adoring your maker and contests and entries.

Jessica you rock, end of story!

My Babies are doll-sized! ^.^
