Best thing I can suggest is to keep warm and make sure you keep hydrated; drink plenty of water and perhaps something with sugar in. Try and eat if you can, but nothing too complex. Above all, don't force yourself to get up and go to school or work if you're not well enough; you'll just feel ten times worse and will pass the flu on to everyone else.
If you have a cold, keep moving rather than lie down; drink loads of fluid, keep warm and if you have a cough or sore throat, you can try over the counter remedies to control it.
