Baffling as this is, it actually is gone BEFORE your period. From what I remember, once you ovulate, it only stays in your system for a few days-week or so and then it leaves. Your period is your body shedding the tissue that had formed during that time in preparation for a possible pregnancy.

I might be wrong though, its been a long time since health class and back in the day they still touted that you could only release one egg at a time, which has since been disproven, which makes my info a bit faulty.

FFFF Stupid irregular periods!!! I was supposed to get it towards the beginning of the month, and I was all prepared, and I just got it a few days ago when I wasn't prepared. This so far is the longest period I've ever had ._. And it's very heavy. Bleeeeeggggghhhhhh. Usually they only last 2-3 days, but as of now it's lasted 4 days. ._.'

This question is for the older members here, so here goes:

Anyone on BC and then for numerous reason quit/forget/skip it?

Last summer we were in-between paychecks and I wasn't able to get my BC on time so I had to skip a month. Well in order to start my BC I had to start my period. I waited and waited and waited. A month and a half later I'm freaking out because I think I'm prego, but test after test says I'm not. So I went to the doctor. He told me to just wait it out and I told him that wasn't an option for me because I'm a worrier. So he gave me a prescription that made me start my period.

Fast-forward to now. I quit my BC because my husband and I are planing to start a family in a few months. BUT I'm now repeating the 'missing' period. I've researched online as much as I could and as far as I can tell it's a fairly common thing for BC users to experience (1 out of 10).

My questions are:

*Am I ovulating? &
*Has anyone else experienced this?
-If So: About how long did you have to wait to recieve your period?
