how everybody was talking about feeling like a diaper, its true but then sometimes it depends on your periods because if you have a small flow that means you can get the thin ones which are less uncomfortable, but you still change it often. but still easier than using a tampon when you're younger. once you start you might be spotting meaning it will be on and off during the first few times it happens, like you might have it one month for a week then the next month for 4 days or not at all. when you're on your period and go out somewhere and you think you'll only need a couple pads then find out that you need more, you'll learn less is usually better when it come to that. ~bad expirence~ stay away from caffine and be active!!! caffine causes more cramps which are very painful, but staying active reduces your cramps and shortens the period if you stay active all the time. but if you do have cramps when its your first period a heating pad is great. shower everyday to stay clean too. carry extra clothes to school with you, and dont be embarassed when on your period at school. it'll happen to just about everyone else. we know what you are going through too so dont feel bad. keep some of the individual wipes with you in a purse or something just in case to feel clean or if you accidently start before you have a pad to clean your underware. but also when you start talk to some about it. talk to you mom, sister, aunt or even your health teacher at school. hope this helps

... Fewer period pill?
WTF? If you're referring to birth control, you've got it mixed up. The Fewer Period one is for women who don't have a regular period, or have problems with their uterus. Seriously... I'm 10 and my period's here.
It's been here since age 8. People who freak out shouldn't. You're not gonna want to have a spazz attack when it happens, so don't freak out! Just make sure that you have pads with you [people shouldn't be using tampons until they're a bit older] and you're set. If you freak out mentally, there's more of a chance that you'll freak out physically. And that would be a disaster. >____<;; |

you dont need to worry just stay calm .heres one way to get your self ready .when you start you might want to use a thin pad but in your 2nd or 3rd year you should start wearing thick pads although they feel like a dipper it helps you not to get a leak also use long ones when you sleep it helps you with leaks .you should change often if you dont want to stain your unides .
i'm 12 i started at 10 so i know what its like |

i got mine last year at my birthday party!!!! i had just turned thirteen! i was like WHY NOW!?! but afterwards, it's not that bad. i just hate the cramps! if you have bad cramps, take a pain reliever like Midol. it really helps. Also, you gotta ask your mom about what age she was when she got hers cuz my mom was 13, too. she even knew i would get mine soon! I hope this helps.

Erm, I got mine LAST WEEK. Yeah, I'm 12. And uh, it's not that bad actually. The first day wasn't overly bad. But the second one, well wear a really thick pad that's pretty long. Cuz I ended up staining three pairs of inderwear that day. Bring normal sized one's with you AT ALL TIMES. And I would suggest Ultra Thin, because it's not too thick but offers lots of protection. Don't worry, it's not bad at all.

Personally, I used to need the super thick, super long ones, because I used to go so bad. x-x
