Menstruation is not meant to be fun; anyone who finds it fun is either one of those extreme feminists or doesn't have any problems. It's got nothing to do with sexism; it's just common sense to not enjoy something that gives you cramps, mood swings, headaches and random aches.

For some reason, I crave MUSIC just before my period. -.- It's strange, and most likely coincidence, but I feel like I can't survive without listening to music around that time of month.
Another weird thing, my period was never irregular. It's always towards the end of the month. Sometimes though, I'll skip one completely and then the next month, on around the schedualed day, there it is. O.o Also, I know exactly when it's coming before it does. I either dream about it, think about it, or just... know. XD  [Visit my dA]

Before I started the pill, I had to go entirely on a guess. My periods were fairly regular - around every 28-36 days - and according to my mom that's pretty weird for my family because when my gram started, she had her first period then didn't have it again for six MONTHS.
I KNOW THE PIECES FIT, CAUSE I WATCHED THEM FALL AWAY, MILDEWED AND SMOLDERING.

Six months?? WOW. I'd think I was pregnant or something. XD

I've never skipped my period for some reason, either I'm just really lucky or I'm cursed. XD

I crave reeses peanut butter cups during my period. I use the days of my period for me-time. I journal, make plans, pamper myself, meditate. I just always have. Nobody told me to do this. I just figured it out for myself.

Dear Miranda,
Actually, your experience is what I've been talking about, if you don't mind my singling you out. I think it's awful that you've had such a hard time of it. And you're not the only one. Which comes to my point. If the medical profession took the concerns of girls more seriously, they would be researching ways to make periods easier for you, while maintaining the hormones in their natural state. Just think of how much money and research went into developing Viagra and Cialis, which are nothing more than recreational drugs for aging baby boomer males so they can fancy they still got it going on. Painful periods are a much more serious problem IMO.
