I was inspired to doll something Sailor Moon-related, and figured I'd draw Sailor Jupiter since she is my favourite Senshi and all
I guess the doll turned out okay overall, though there's nothing on it that looks especially good :/ And I'm not sure about that white palette. I made it darker because it was basically impossible to see the shading, but I'm afraid it looks too grey now. Oh well.

I love love LOVE the Meredith doll. The only thing is that where the hairband is wouldn't there be a bit of hair in front of it?

Hmm... now that I look at it, there probably should be... but the headband isn't placed high enough to be above her hairline :/
That's what I get for drawing without reference. Headband fail :S

I was close to giving up on this doll, but then I tried a different design and I think it turned out quite good. I still fail @ braids though.

I had to do it because the original was just so BAD that it was bugging me. Not because of the shading, which, while definitely not good, was pretty much par for the course for me at that time. It was just the sheer WTFyness of the doll.

First off, the outfit. She's wearing a long skirt over jeans - I don't know what I was smoking to make me think that was a good idea (not to mention that it looks like an apron). Yet, despite the fact that she is wearing three layers of clothing, her belly is still bare. And I won't even start about the make-up. Vomit-inducing is the only word I would use to describe it.

On the new version, while I'm still not happy with everything, I think I at least came up with an outfit that makes some sense. I'm not sure about the denim texture, but I'm really happy with her face and the hair's not too bad either.

I think it;s a lot better, though the shading aorund the outside of the skirt could be a shade or two darker...
unless it;s this laptop. Black looks greay on this screen, O.o Anyways, I like it, ignore my ranting. XD
