First off, I edited the Miel base (some people who have visited my old site might remember), and I think I managed to improve it quite a bit. There's also a new pose now I'm not posting the image on the forums since it's a bit too large, but you can see it here: http://img465.imageshack.us/img465/4743/miel28hp.gif.
I sorted out several issues with proportion, changed the shading, slightly edited the ******* and added eyebrows. Even though I feel it's a lot better now, there's still several things I don't like, namely the face (too anime-ish), the shoulder (it just isn't right!) and the fact that it seems to be going to topple over any minute. Anyway, I read Joel on Software (I didn't understand anything, but it was interesting), and the part about eating your own dog food and I decided to try out my own base. The result?

I'm pretty satisfied with these two dolls, especially the second. I know the first one's foot is strange; I edited the base after making the doll.
