I have started a hand drawn thread and am fairly new to this. It is more difficult than i expected and this is my first try. (Please don't laugh out loud when you see it.);-)

What on earth happened to the size of your doll, Did you resize it by accident it is twice the size of the original base?
I don't think that is acceptable rule wise.

Also if you notice, even on the dollmaker dolls, the clothing is shaded. Try finding palettes to use and tutorials.

Did you want CC?

I recommend you go through a tutorial, because that will really help. That's how I started! Here are my tutorials: http://www.thedollpalace.com/forum/t...ls-hayley.html

You shaded, but you didn't shade. You recoloured the skin, so it looks like the clothes are painted on. If you follow my tutorial, you will see the proper way to shade. I'd love to see the finished product after using a tutorial. ^_^

What program do you use?

From what I've heard before, it's white because its not transparent or transparency or what ever its called. But I do like it! I've never actually hand drawn before, but I've been in the tutorials. I've seen Hayley''s tutorial. It's really good, you should check it out. :-D By the way, your first doll is pretty good, in my world, at least. But its really long. I wonder why....

Yeah it looks like its painted on but I don't mind. It was my second time.

Hayley: I kinda glanced at your tutorials but I will totally try them. And I used photoshop. I will try making a doll using one of your tutorials!

Emma: Thanks!! :)
