It was tough, but here are the awards! =D

Miranda took a great risk by doing a bareback-rider, and by trying windblown hair for the first time! Aussie's was very well detailed with the jewels and that beautiful face paint. But LancasterPrincess' doll edged out the competition with both well-shaded, theme-fitting, and uniquely posed, "The Flying Ladybug". Congrats, LancasterPrincess! All the entries were great, guys, really. ^_^

Hey neat!!! Thanks Haley! Hmm, I want to come up with something amazing, so I will post the new contest tomorrow after I sleep on it. Well done to Miranda and Ness too! I loved Miranda's daring and Ness, the background and doll were stunning!

Okay, I slept on it, and I'm still not convinced that my idea will go over too well, but what the heck, lets give it a shot?

Base Credit

Deadline: March 26th. That gives you three WHOLE weekends!

Create a mermaid doll. She must have fins and appropriate attire.

Please give this a shot, other than Ness and I, I'm pretty sure ya'll are all starting from ground zero
and have nothing to be ashamed about skill-wise!

Take a chance and dive right in! I promise fins and tails are nowhere near as intimidating as they seem.
(Certainly MUCH easier than folds and hair!!!)

If you need inspiration or don't know where to start I suggest starting where I first started:

Take a fin, and zoom in. Once zoomed in you'll see it's merely a scale pattern, not intimidating at all!

As a way to motivate ya'll, I plan on giving away more than just awards. Since this is a Hand Drawn contest, I figured I'd give away a base I drew. It's a unique position, not that boring standing-front-facing kind of base. So don't be shy, and lets try something new; water beauties!
