Okay, this is my first hand drawn doll in a LONG time, so please bear with me:

It's kind of like a self-portrait, I actually kind of like it. ^^

I'll be submitting my doll sometime midday tomorrow, just to let you know. I'm finishing the clothes tonight and I'm going to do the hair/accessories tomorrow to spread out my aggravation with shading.

Sorry for the late entry, but I somehow managed to have a total brain **** and only include two things on the list instead of three, so I had to go and slap a hasty pattern on the yellow skirt (which completely ate the shading ).

Anyhow, this includes off-the-shoulder top, glove and pattern.

Base - take a wild guess.

Need a minor extension to tomorrow possibly, depending on whether or not I can finish this hair. The skirt took me a lot longer than I expected, but its almost done.

Edit: Definately need it.

I used Unnatural Hair, Off-The-Shoulder Top, and Scarf. The base is (obviously) blood-cocoa's.

Not much story behind her, except that her colors made me think of her as very patriotic, and the time frame was around Independence Day for the US.

Just wanted to let you know I didn't forget about the contest. I unfortunately leave for work soon and will be there for the next 9 hours, but I'm submitting it when I get home. I just need to get this **** skirt right since I finished everything else.

OK, awards are done. This was a very close call; it took me ages to decide who should win, but in the end, the winner's doll was perfect in its simplicity and adherence to the rules set out. ^_^ Congratulations to the winner, and well done to everyone who took part.
