I love the hair on the first doll the shape is great. Overall it is a nice doll. Maybe i will enter that contest too, i entered last month but i dont have an idea for this month

And the second doll is great It is so cute!!!!! I love her wavy hair and the pose just fit the whole doll great.

for support of the Canadian snowborading team going to the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver. yay, I entered this in http://www.amethystrain.com when I grow up contest. I won't make it to the 2010, but I'll make it to the 2014 Olympics in Russia. =)

Canada shall PWN in Vancouver 2010. I mean, half the globe probably thinks it's winter here all the time, may as well use their ignorance to our benefit, right? =P

You see, if I had some sort of winter sport talent, I'd think about the Olympics, but I don't. I can play hockey, just not as well as the national team. xD I'd be better off on a Women's soccer, rugby, or volleyball team. ^^

Focusing on the dolls now. There are a lot of straight lines, and most of the curves ones are kind of jagged and rough looking. It takes a lot of time to pixel a smooth curve (using the pencil tool, not the line tool) but it's worth it. Smoother lines make the clothes less stiff looking.

Also, do you use palettes or make your own? For black, it should never have grey in it. Instead, start with pitch black and slide it to navy blue. The same goes with white.

There's still room for improvement (nobody's perfect!), but you're well on your way. You're still fairly new at this. ^^
