First Hand drawn! Any tips?
 

Ok before you say anything I know this is really bad but please be aware it is my FIRST Ever try at a hand drawn doll.

The hair is quite good! :) About that dress, you should have shaded it more, instead of leaving it plain blank. it's quite easy, just scribble on a slightly lighter colour that the background, then fill in any areas that you didn't scribble over, then do it again a few times. Try to make the lightest colours closest to whatever direction on the picture you think the light source is coming from.

I don't think he literally meant scribble though. there are some really good tutorials at watermelon bubble gum, they really do help.

The black hair shouldn't go like this: > > > >

It should have either a blue, green, purple or red tint to it.
