My Hand-Drawn Dolls
 

Hi! I'm Kat and these are my hand drawn dolls! im just a beginner, but with your guys' help and critique, hopefully i will get better.

It's quite good for a beginner, nice to see that you're already attempting to shade. However, the hair is a bit pillowy and the clothes look like you just followed the base shading exactly - not a good thing to do. Also, don't make the hair end in a straight line, it looks very unrealistic. But as I said, it's a good start, and with practice you will improve. Most dollers have made these mistakes in the beginning. Try to read some tutorials also; there are some on this site in the Tutorials forum.

This is my next one. im not so sure i like this one.... i absolutely like the other one better that this one. Although this one doesn't have pillowing, it doesn't look thta good. well to me anyway. tell me what you think!

Anyway, the hairline seems to be a little too high, and the shirt could use some highlights, but otherwise those parts are really improved. I really like that one-sided ponytail hairstyle :).
As for the pants, it looks like you're just randomly scribbling on them - that's not real shading. You need to look at where shadows and folds are, and make those parts darker. I understand you're trying to go for the rough texture of jeans, which can be difficult to achieve, but you need to concentrate on shading first, textures later. But do keep practising!

I like the hair and jacket outline but I think shading is an issue. Have you tried tutorials? There is an amazing tutorial site, Watermelon Bubblegum which I recommend to all absolute beginners. But don't worry, you will improve ^_^ I love your avatar by the way
