Well, to start, I usually have an idea of what I want. For example, I wanted Mina to be a tomboy. Then I will sometimes surf the net for inspiration.

As for just designing in general, some of it comes with practice, though some of it is just my artsiness (I'm a right-brainer, folks!).

New doll! (well, technically it's not, I just left it sitting on photobucket for a few days before this post XD)

Loki, the god of mischief in Norse mythology, wanted a job, and couldn't get one...
that is, until he used his shapeshifting powers to change into a woman. XD This doll is Loki as a female, and 'she' goes by the name "Lou" at the bar where 'she' works.

Holy cow! Now that is a mini-skirt! O_o Oh god, now I'm picturing the male Loki in a mini-skirt like that. AGH! Scary!

Now I must use that base!

The white could use more contrast or a slightly darker outline, but white is evil anyway, so forget about that. xD

And Miranda described "lou" to be wearing a very short skirt. XD

But yeah, male Loki in that would be a nightmare... both for him, and for us, even Freya might not like that. XD
