I think the problem your having with brown hair that your not having with blonde is that the palette on the blonde has less contrast than the palette for the brown. If you got a brown palette with less contrst, I'm sure you'd be fine.(:

New doll!
 It's me! I got frustrated with shading the hair. I'm sure you can tell...XD. It's supposed to be like my hair when I wear it half-up-half-down. The shorts aren't too good. I can never do bottoms right! I think the shirt came out good. I didn't do any shoes cause I guess you could say it's a "summer-y" doll. Hehehe. Oh, and I also added blue eyeshadow. And suggestions are welcome! Base: Chocotini. And I made it into an avatar, too! It's my current avatar on here (when I posted this).

It's good. I can't really tell if the shorts are shorts or a skirt though. I mean It's more obvious than the one you did before with shorts.
There are some good hair palettes at watermelon bubblegum.

It's been a while since I've posted another handdrawn! I've attempted a few others, but got frustrated with them
 . But today I made one that I'm proud of! Base: *DEAC loves you. I personally am very proud, and I love her! I'm sure you knew, but incase you didn't, it's a Hogwarts student that's in Ravenclaw. Her name is Jordane Rose, a "Harry Potter" version of me, I suppose. I attempted to make those long side swept bangs. I think the shape for them turned out ok. I recolored the eyes from brown to blue. I also added eyelashes just for a more feminine look. She's not wearing shoes, just her socks. Except for the skirt, I love her! I may make her into an avvie or siggie... CC is welcome! EDIT: I edited the skirt, and I think it's a wee bit better, but not that great.
