Yes, I see what you mean. I think that's one of my main problems, is I draw my clothes too close to the base then it looks unrealistic. I'm currently making another doll so I hope this one will turn out better ^^

Hayley, I loved your base waay too much. I just had to use it ;D (sorry for editing the eyes ;3)
I'm going to be honest, this doll looks an awful lot like me, so I'm pretty proud of it.
I even pixelled my PJ's and Hello-Kitty hair bow (:
And, I'm pretty proud, cause the hair was done without a tutorial, although the strands on the top of her head aren't very good >.<

I love the dress! It's rounded in all the right places, and the idea is wonderful.

One thing with the hair is that it looks too blocky on the bottom. That's my only real critique.

Alrighty, well I haven't posted a doll in MONTHS, so I figured it was about time I did ^^
Now, this one took me really long, since I worked on it for about 2-3 weeks, then stopped for a few months, so its not the best, since I took a huge break from dolling and kinda forgot how to doll? haha
Also, I know the shading on the dress is weird, it wasn't exactly turning out how I had hoped, so I resorted to shading like that >.<
