Maybe it's just all my shirts? Then again, they all seem to loop down with their folds.

To correct what I meant, it wouldn't be the darker colours across the mid-section.

That's understandable. I hate doing the hair on dolls, especially stranded stuff. Those tuts are really good though so you should enjoy using them

Mine go nearly straight across. Whatever, then. I'll edit my tutorial seeing as I'm teaching them so wrongly. T.T

The hair is a bit square, but the shorts turned out pretty well.

Also, there should be a darker outline around the white. Right now, there isn't enough contrast in the white so it looks a bit flat.
