You're quite good at shading the bottom of long skirts. I agree and think the yellow and blond palettes should have a darker outline and a darker first colour. Here's the difference:
![]() Also, I blended the blond and red with some shading. I took a midway colour (in this case, a desaturated, mid-light shade, redish-brown) and shaded between the red and blond so it blends. Hope that helps. Pictures really are worth a thousand words. xD I'm actually making a palette set soon, which you and everyone else will be welcome to use. It's amazing how much of a difference the palette makes! Now I can see that the shading on the boots is really well done, when I couldn't tell before due to the lack of contrast. [Visit my dA]

Thanks; I had real trouble finding a suitable palette and in the end was forced to make the yellow and blonde ones, so that's probably why there's a lack of contrast. XD
Could I post the doll on the right as my entry for the collab? Obviously, I'll post that you cleaned it up a bit; I just think that it would be nice if all the dolls looked as good as they could be. ![]() |

Sure. I didn't change any of the shading or the outlines, just the palette. ^_^
