I can understand how you feel with the frustrated part! XD The bloodstain on her chest is a little patchy-looking, but the other two are fantastic. ^^

If I ever have free time again, I'll make Jerome and Rain together, lol.

And, yes, I have to say it... kitteh horns! <3

I like the hair and the shape of the dress. I think you should bring the one ear forward, though. They seem uneven. Other thank that, and what spirit already pointed out, I have nothing else to say. Keep up the good work. ^_^

Doll for Hayley's Circus contest. First of all; yes, I know that the hair looks crappy but a) I could not find any tutorials on how to draw either windblown hair or sideways hair and b) I'm crap at drawing hair anyway. It's Phillipa the Bareback Rider, with her beautiful stallion Quicksilver. XD I love her boots!

Did you make the horse or was it from a base?

From a base; the base links to a horse and rider base. I did recolour and dither the horse, tho.

I'm not sure what program you're using, b you could probably finagle this tutorial into something that could work, as far as wind-swept hair goes: :: x a n d o r r a s :: p l a c e :: wind blown hair tutorial

I use MS Paint, not anything with layers; I could possibly have a go at that tutorial sometime tho, thanks.

Anyone going to give me CC on the rest of the doll now?

But you're say dang good at patterns, what's to day

The only thing that seems odd to me about the rest of the doll is that all of the pieces look like they are made out of the exact same material, which may have been what you were going for anyway.

The dithering on that horse is incredibly impressive.

That was the idea, yeah, to have the gloves, leotard and boots all be completely matching.

The horse dithering drove me mad; it took me forever to do and was incredibly boring. But it was all worth it in the end.

Congrats on taking that risk with the hair!

The detail on the horse (like the mane and the muzzle-thing (I don't know horses well. )) is really well done. My main CC is to maybe try using more contrast on the clothing? The hair and horse have lots, and the clothing palette doesn't seem to have the same "spark".
