This is Leela, my HP character in her dress for the Yule Ball. She's a Ravenclaw. XD This dress gave me so much trouble it's not even remotely funny. Hell, this isn't even the starting design. O_o;

I was fiddling with anti-aliasing. It turned out better than I expected.

There's a lot that I'm not liking about this doll, I may end up editing it some more. The reason her hair appears to be two different styles is because, well, it is. XD The left side (our left) is pulled into a ponytail, while the rest stays down. Also, you kind of have to squint to see her hair clip, I think it's too dark. :\

Celestial Being: Kali, Hindu Goddess of Change and Time

Uggghh. O_o;; It was so hard to find good reference pictures for this thing. Some depicted her as blue with four arms, some with black skin and four arms, red hair, black hair, brown hair, etc. So this is sorta my interpretation. The reason her skirt looks funny edged is because I was trying to antialias it to the board color. >_<;

Kali has many different forms. O.o My cousin has a friend that's Hindu, and he explained as much to me, so probably most of the forms you saw were technically correct.

Thanks though. ^^ All I did for the skin was take a palette from Watermelon Bubblegum, the dramatic shading palette (the blue one) and figured what I needed from it.

So I'm okay for the contest then? >_>;

I should think so; since Kali has many forms, and you seem to have depicted her blue form, it can be accepted. There wasn't a required ref pic, and the outfit looks cultural, if a bit plain for them, (they LOVE embroidery).

Eh. >_>; Am I still able to edit in embroidery? The main reason I didn't was because at that point, I was frustrated and just wanted to finish it.

Oh well. >_>; I think putting any kind of decoration or pattern on it would've messed it up pretty bad. Her shirt's got a golden collar on it though, you kinda have to squint to see it.
