LOL! I'm your opposite, except the sketching. I can't copy, because then I take the character and turn it into my own work! Then I feel like I'm plagiarizing.
I hate copying, and sketch my own images, going with the flow. I learn through mistakes and observing the world around me, with every movement. I know a lot more than shows in my work as I'm still trying to figure out certain things. I sketch, then outline in darker pencil. If I can't get it the way i want to, or I'm too lazy to mess with it, I toss it. o.o Yeah, i'm weird. I don't like the techincal stuff; i'm a freestyle person! Even in music, I sightread without counting, I write any songs by ear, and couldn't transpose if my life depended on it!      |

Sorry, i'm evil. And I know, i'm just saying i'm not technical, I'm a 'go-with-the-flow' type. If my picture is turning out to look like a girl crying when i meant it to be a girl smiling, she ends up crying. There, an example. If I'm trying to figure out the notes for the beginning to the orchestrated verion of Aeris' theme from FF, and I istead start the beginning to Prince Charming from Shrek2, then Shrek2 it is! |

It means to take a pixel base and pixel clothes on it.
Sorry spirit_queen, I have no idea what you're talking about =__= If you don't know, then maybe you should get a few tutorials and try them out before you actually start entering; some of us *cough*most of us*cough* are sort of experienced, or have gotten to a level where we actually know more than the basics of pixel art. |
