So I'm going to Scotland/Ireland

Hey Guys,

So I am leaving for Scotland/Ireland in about 3 weeks. I know some people on here have either been overseas or possibly live overseas and was wondering if anyone has any tips on places that would be awesome to see or things that my family and I should do.

Thanks so much!

My friend went there, I asked her on FB so I'll let you know what she says, or she may just pop over here to help you out, who knows, lol.

**EDIT:

She said she only went to Dublin, so she wouldn't know anything about other areas. She's asking which part you'll be traveling to?

We are going into Glasgow Scotland area and Northern Ireland but I do believe we are taking a trip into Dublin

She says:

Ooh, I am jealous, I would love to go to Scotland! In Dublin, if they stay overnight, hotels don't have AC. Dublin is like NYC - the city that never sleeps. It is loud at all times - 8 am, noon, 6 pm, or 2 am. If they like the Irish atmosphere, the Temple Bar area is the BEST place to experience food, drink, and music. For more of the history, I recommend Dublinia (a Viking museum), Dublin Castle, and any of the old cathedrals.

Edinburgh (Scotland) is definitely worth a visit. So much to see! I'd personally check out the Edinburgh Dungeons, but then, I like that kind of thing.

Oh yeah and don't call the Scottish "English". They really hate that.

So do the Irish. My mom is 99.99% Irish....guess what the .01% we don't mention is ;)

Thanks for the tips. I really don't want to offend anyone over there!

And the dungeons sound pretty cool!
