The Internet Flounce

Otherwise known as "Sc'rew you guys, I'm going home!" or "Bratty leaving thread". I've seen quite a few on various message boards during my years online, and it still really bugs me. Especially since most people who perform the internet flounce do not, actually, leave and never come back. They usually return to read their thread and flame anyone who's not posting, "Aww, come back! We love you!".

There's been quite a few people doing that here; mostly people angered at not being instantaniously granted modship, or people who pop up out of the blue to post a flounce, despite only having about two posts on forums. Below is a bingo card showing the Flounce in all its glory.

On the not Grokking of Internet Bingo Cards

Basically, if you see a person on a forum doing a flounce, then if you see them doing several of the things at once, ie deleting their journal, claiming it's not a flounce, calling everyone mean/rude/stupid... then you can call "Bingo!" while simultaniously laughing at the flouncer.

^ I think what you did is fine, you were just explaining why you weren't posting as much and why you might be a little less active, right?

On that note I would like to inform everyone I'm leaving because these forums are full of people who just don't appreciate me and I think that's just, like, so wrong. I think that the rules are way to harsh and there's no flexibility, as well as this my personal beliefs get attacked all the time...

Oooo, I love the bingo game! Internet flouncing isn't the only card floating around, I have one for racism which is very giggle worthy. I must did it up and edit it into this post. Now if only someone would give us a chance to play bingo! Its been way too long.
