Having a wild animal is totally stupid and unsafe. Not only does it pose a threat to the owner and people around them, it is unfair to the animal. There is reasons some animals live in the sea; they were made to live in the sea. There is a reason some animals live in the wild; because that is the habitat they are used to and where they're most likely to survive. Capturing a small garden snake or lizard is completely different from a actual wild animal that can hurt you, thats why animal control exists for Pete's sake!

Exactly; keeping a chimp in a cage in your house is hardly anywhere near its natural habitat.
