Once more, I want to say this...

NO MORE RANDOM FRIEND REQUESTS!

Especially if any of the following pertain to you:

1. You're new. Yes, I'm a mod. No, I'm not required to auto-friend you cuz of that. I don't flipping well KNOW you, so I'm going to refuse your request. Please don't PM me with an attitude as a result of said refusal.

2. Currently in trouble. No, it won't excuse you from following the rules if you're the friend of a mod. In any case, see above.

3. You were refused before. Now, I didn't friend you before, so what makes you think that I'm going to suddenly change my mind? Especially; once again, if I don't KNOW you. -.-

Just had to rant. -.-

XD I ignore most of those. I don't even bother to look when I'm alerted to new requests.

But, seriously, some people need to grow up; just because you won't actually meet the people on the internet in rl doesn't mean you should go aorund acting like a 2-year-old... well, no, kids around 2 are better because they're not quite old enough to understand why they shouldn't act that way.

I'm sounding rude and I know it, but whatever; the more polite, mature, and decently intelligent you come across as, and the more you think about your actions, the more respect you will receive.

Understand?

BULLET POINTS! =D
  • Politeness! Cussing and overreacting will make things worse. Being polite and handling things calmly is the way to go.
  • Maturity! You want to be treated like you're old enough ot know what's what, then act like it.
  • Intelligence! (Or common sense, which should be called "rare sense") Think! You have a brain, and it is a gift! use it! Before ranting in your own comments about how unfair everything is and going all emo, stop and think a moment, even consider the view of the individual(s) on the other side.
When I was new to this site and joined a roleplay, I read the stickes and then made my post, also putting a note saying that if I'm not allowed to join that I'd delete said post.

When I pmed Miranda once, asking about the no rps rule, I tried to come across as mature and intelligent, and now we're friends.

The bullets are GOLDEN! And try not to just come across as mature, polite and intelligent, but try to be that way yourself, inside and out. I hate things that are for the sake of appearences.

Done!

Mods, just tell me if you tihnk this doesn't fit. If you don't feel like deleting it, I will myself.

Those are the things I always look for in a PM when determining whether or not I will respond. I try to answer every question and message I am asked, but if a member persists in messaging me in any of those ways, I choose to ignore them. If its annoying enough I even will go through the measures to have them punished for harassment.

Also, don't try to fake those things. I know an attitude when I see it and that will actually make me angry as opposed to helping your case. If you are upset, don't bother PMing me until you are genuinely calmed down.

Couldn't agree more. Also, some people need to understand the difference between a genuine request and being annoying. If you're new and don't understand about forums, then read the fricking stickies. The Meeting Place is full of information for the new to forums, and it's not exactly invisible. If you PM me asking me a question that is answered already in a sticky; especially if I already posted the links to the main help threads in your intro post, don't be surprised if I just reply with a terse "Read the stickies."

The same goes for anyone asking me any of the following questions:

"Can I join your RP?" (My RPs are generally either private or for experienced people only.)

" --- won't let me join their RP!" (Sorry, but it's the owner's choice and they probably have a good reason why they won't let you, so just suck it up and start your own instead.)

"Why did you close my RP?" (Cuz it broke the rules. I always post saying why I close an RP in the RP itself, in any case. Are you blind?)

" --- is being mean to me!" (Give me some proof. I require the following as proof; links to threads, forwarded PMs or a link to your profile comments where the meanness happened. If you give me nothing to go on, then the accusation of meanness just becomes a "He said/she said" thing and I can't do anything.)

"Why did you give me an infraction?/You gave me an infraction and it's not fair! Wa wa wa!" (I explained in the infraction as to why you received it. You received it cuz you broke the rules. If you keep messaging me with an attitude, you will be punished further so it's really not worth doing so.)

There are more; I may add to this later. XD Those just are the main ones.

This dosen't happen much but it has happened 3 times so I thought it deserved a rantage post. ^^

Okay, I have gotten random friends requests. This first person I didn't know so I denied it. Then somebody asked me, a different person, to be there friend. I didn't know them aswell, so I denied. Then a few weeks later, she asked again. IF I REFUSE YOU, AND I DON'T KNOW YOU, DON'T ASK AGAIN. And, no random friend requests, please.

Here are some reasons I might deny you.

1. I don't like you. xD
2. You use chat speak; I HATE CHATSPEAK. How could I have a talk with you if I can't understand half the words you are using. And if you can't spell, use spell check, or use a different word. I like mature people, and intelligent people.
3. Your request is random. You could be a rude, mean person. If I accept, and your rude, I really just wasted time clicking the 'Accept' button.

Second Rant

DON'T ASK ME TO GO TO YOUR SHOP IF YOU ARE NOT A FRIEND. I have had the happen to me twice, the second time today. I don't mind if you are a friend, but if you are not, I consider it spam, and I will comment on your profile. It basically, to me, is spamming.

And for a last thing, I would like to apologize to Miranda. I asked you to be my friend, when I wasn't as mature as I am now. I apologize, it was very immature of me. Dx

Don't worry about it. I very rarely friend people on here til I've known them for eons, due to trust issues. Same goes for real life, actually.

Aaaah, some great rantage time.

Rantage a:
Chatspeak is a big NO-no. I do not freind you if you use chatspeak. Once on Bebo, Someone asked me to be freinds. Like this:
Person: Hey lol wanna b frendz? xxx
Me: No thank you, now go read a dictionary. ^^
Person: lol lol lol soz dnt u now hu i am? xxx freidn me now soz xxx
Me: Naw. I just put you on ignore.
Person: omgsoz lol you cant cuz im really special xxx and U ahve to freind me!!!!!!1!!1!!11!!!!11

'Nuff said. And I don't think I was egxaggerating. (Spelling?!)

Rantage b:
Abuse of chat brackets/sexual insults. In most online games, the most elite of noob culture have found SOME way to use the symbols to make a p*nis, occasionally bre'asts or worse. Example:
q p
_U
See what I mean?
Then you've got the ones who watch your every comment, and if you say something like 'Will you just come and help me?!' they say something like 'i alredy did, in ur mom'
..................................................
Moving on..

Rantage c:
-WoW rant here-
I swear, I'm gonna make a warlock alt, and get it to doomgaurd level JUST so I can unleash my demon on those iffin' gold sellers. Sorry man, I don't think I'm giving about 12$ just to get 1000 gold coins. Your blood/soul on the other hand.. Now THAT would be fun to have. Specially if I TOOK it. *Murderous cackle*

Bah. I'm finished ranting.

One more thing: I was also way immature when I started here. I must have asked every mod, save sarika bunny and elanorea, the more reclusive ones, to be freinds. And not very politely either. Sorry. ^^" I could go on forevor saying sorry for thigns when I think about it... But I'll save it.
