I've got red hair, cut short so that it's straight on top but kinda "flippish" on the ends... lol, it's hard to describe. I look like a '70s star, I swear :P

I was thinking of dying my hair pink, just on a whim... I told my mom to see her reaction.

...

She actually said go for it. o.O Now I either have to go through with it or risk being called a coward by my own mother. o.O O.o Any suggestions for a temporary pink hair dye I could use? I've never dyed nor bleached nor have had highlights put in my hair before.

Well, I'll ask my aunt. She dyed her hair some color, but it turned pink after being exposed to chlorine.

I've got brown hair, but I've also bleached it. Turned my hair brittle. Never again. I've had it light purpleblack and black too- I looked like I had stood up from the grave. Ugh.

y'know...part of it is that people don't take good enough of their hair when they dye it. I go to a professional hair dresser so I could have it dyed every five weeks. He first puts the dye in than after 30 minutes he washes it out with really good hair care. Than he sprays it with leave in conditioner to keep it good. People whose hair becomes dry and brittle aren't taking good care of it. Dying one's hair doesn't damage it if one takes care of it. Also, which brand name one used is also very important. And your hair should not change color so basically, your using the wrong type of dye.

Plus, you should use a seperate shampoo and conditioner that are specially made for coloured hair. I use Aussie, and that works really well.

No, you don't get it, that's why I'm telling you.
You think you get it, which isn't the same as
actually getting it. Get it?

I have brown hair that has natural blonde bits in it, I got red strips put in my hair once, they came out really easy. My hair is straight unless I curl it and I got a side swept fringe thingo and my hair is medium length I have to get up early if I want my hair curled so normally I just leave it out or tie it up in a pony tail.
