OH. MY GOSH.
HARAJUKU. Is very close to, GOTHIC LOLITA. Harajuku is actually a place in Japan where people often come to dress up, often in cosplays, Visual Kei, Ganguro, Gyaru, Kogal, of course, Gothic Lolita <3 It is also called as a street fashion in Japan. G/o/t/h/i/c L/o/l/i/t/a, the word makes me tremble in happiness. >_>; A little obsessed, no? If I could dress up in any type of Harajuku I'd be glad, of course g-lol would be my favorite ^^ http://www.vanilladays.com/gallery/u...RW_9627-01.jpg XD Cute. The hairdress is so big, though XD, Sorry. Anyway, yes, I do like harajuku. ^^ |

I've always thought the Harajuku style is so creative! There are so many different types too that generally are encompassed by the word.
In particular, I always found the Ganguro substyle intriguing, although a little strange. Its were the girls basically tan themselves(either with a real tan to gain a darker colour skin, though there are variations too of your style based on the colour, or with a self-tanner, which often makes them look crazily orange). They also dye their hair silver, gray, or some shades of orange. Typically you can recognize them from their white lipstick and eye makeup(which they use all around their eyes). Its a strange style really, but definately unique. |
I love Harajuku!
My friend told me once in order to be harajuku, you can't try to be harajuku; you have to find your own personal style... I guess i'm sorta harajuku then? :-? |

The ganguro style makes me think of Asian girls trying to be the classic sterotypical Baywatch Barbie, or something. Teehee. XD
Anywho. I love the one type of harajuku style where.. oh, let me just find a picture. This is my favorite: http://i.ehow.com/images/GlobalPhoto...-main_Full.jpg :3 |
