Right now I'm on a major Alex Cross series hit, I love James Patterson's books. ^^; The Alex Cross series doesn't have an official name, and it's actually hard for me to figure out which book is which series, but thanks to the awesomeness that is the school internet library thing I found two more books and just finished one, 'Four Blind Mice'. I really don't reccommend it if you're squeamish about the Vietnam war though, this talks about "the gray wall of silence" that all wars have when they're done. O_o I've also got The Big Bad Wolf. Can't wait to start it. ^^

I stare at the girl in the mirror: T-shirt, torn up jeans, no beauty queen.
But the way that you see me, you get underneath me, and all my defenses just fall away, fall away.
I am beautiful with you, even in the darkest part of me. I am beautiful with you;
Make it feel the way it's supposed to be!

You're here with me: Just show me this and I'll believe I am beautiful with you!

'Enna Burning' by Shannon Hale, one of my favorite authors. It's the second in the Goose Girl Trilogy. I am also reading, 'An Introduction To Reading and Writing Egyptian Hieroglyphs'.

Intensity by Dean Koontz, just started it today. Probably won't be reading it for long, will be starting on Blind Alley by Iris Johansen for a novel project in English.

Clan of the Cave Bear - Jean M. Auel
I really like the book, it's a big change for me from other books.
But, after school, I am running to the bookstore to get my reserved copy of City of Glass! They wouldn't release it to me any sooner. >_>

River of Secrets by Shannon Hale. =D It's the last book to the Goose Girl trilogy, and ohh, it's really good so far. But then again, all of her books are amazing...

Jerk, California by Jonathan Friesen. It's about a young boy with Tourettes. His father died when he was just a baby, so he lives with his passive mother and abusive and rude step-dad. He didn't have any sign of Tourette Syndrome until he was about six. Up until that time, his step-dad was kind to him. Then everything changed. The main character, Sam/Jack (his original name was Jack Keegan - his step-dad changed it to Sam Carrier) blames his father for having Tourettes and claims, "The only thing he left me was the twitch." His step-dad often told him stories of how his father was an alcoholic and didn't really love his mum.

He meets this girl, and starts to fall in love with her. The book takes place after his graduation. He gets a job working for George, his girlfriend's grandfather and his biological father's best friend. Their bonding ends up sending Sam/Jack on a life changing trip to Jerk, California. On his way, he finds out the real story of his father as told by those who knew him, as well as a shocking secret about Naomi (his GF).

I actually just finished it. xD It had to be one of the best young adult novels I've heard in quite a while. and I'd recommend it. It gives you the full range of emotion from sadness, to anger, to joy, to friendship, to laughter, and everything in between. ^_^

"The Year of the Hangman" by Gary Blackwood. Pretty good so far, though I just started it.
