Shutter Island by Daniel Lehane (I think that's the author, too lazy to grab the book. XD). The movie was basically word for word taken from the book, so I was impressed that I didn't miss much in translation. The only things that weren't in the movie were some pretty weird, not too plot related flashbacks. Mainly weird dreams.
I KNOW THE PIECES FIT, CAUSE I WATCHED THEM FALL AWAY, MILDEWED AND SMOLDERING.
FUNDAMENTAL DIFFERING, PURE INTENTION JUXTAPOSED WILL SET TWO LOVERS' SOULS IN MOTION. DISINTEGRATING AS IT GOES, TESTING OUR COMMNICATION. THE LIGHT THAT FUELED OUR FIRE THEN HAS BURNED A HOLE BETWEEN US SO WE CANNOT SEE TO REACH AN END... Tool |

"One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest" by Ken kesey.
I can't beleive he wrote the entire thing while on acid. that is crazy....and this was written about a decade before all the "free love" hippie culture became mainstream. Interesting read. I have to finish by the end of the week though. English class... |
