Started reading A Clash of Kings by George R. R. Martin. I really shouldn't be reading it because I haven't finished the second part of A Game of Thrones yet, but we don't have that at home.
Also recently finished The City of Ember, The People of Sparks and The Prophet of Yonwood by Jeanne DuPrau. They were pretty good for kids' books, though I felt the morals became more and more anvilicious by each book. Also, the third book felt like a bit of a non sequitur; weird place in the series to have a prequel, and although it explained a bit of the backstory, it didn't really tie in with the previous two books. Maybe it'll connect more with the fourth book, which I've yet to read.

Right now I'm reading "The Devil's Arithmatic" for Language Arts. It's really good, but very sad. Then again it's a book about the Holocaust so it can't NOT be sad "The Book of John" in the Bible for Youth Group is er...well I won't say anything because it's a religious matter and I don't wish to talk of that online "Power of Three: Outcast" By Erin Hunter just for fun I love it, it's definately the best our of all three books I'm reading. ![]() "Are you my mummy?" "Don't blink." "Count the shadows." "Look behind you." |
