What book are you reading now? 2

My version on the essay I did on the book was that it was about how civilisation is meaningless, and how every civilised man has the potential to become a savage. XD It was at least four pages long and I got an A+, too. Guess English teachers love that kind of thing.

It was ridiculous, it was all about how I believed the books to be about how we try to escape our inner darkness, but its always with us, ready to come forth and take control. I then rambled on a bunch about how all it takes is the right circumstances and we would turn into "the Beast". I think I also rambled quite a bit about how darkness is quite animalistic. I did get an A+ on it though, so it had to be pretty good.

I wrote an essay on that twice last year. The first time we didn't get graded, and the second time we did. I wrote about how foreshadowing and symoblism shows the loss of innocence the kids on the island went through. I got a D on the essay. FML.

Right now I'm reading The Chronicles of Vladmir Tod: Ninth Grade Slays by Heather Brewer.

I'm reading 'In Mozart's Shadow'. It's the story of his sister Nannerl. They were both fantastic musicians even as children, but sadly her brother was the prodigy and she was not.
It's rather sad, but also an easy read.

I'm halfway through a book called Blue Moon, which was written by Alyson Noel. It's the second book in The Immortals series. It's definatly got me hooked right now.

The first book (Evermore) is quite similar to Twilight, but I've gotten even more hooked with this one than Twilight. Very interesting book, and I'd recomend reading it if you're looking for a good book ^_^.

Right now I'm reading 1984 by George Orwell for my English class.
It's really good so far.

I finally started reading the Mortal Instruments trilogy by Cassandra Clare. City of Bones, the first one, is really good so far! Packed full of descriptions and characters and new species. Definitely a fantasy read; NOT a love story, thank goodness. (although there is some sort of crush between 2 main characters, but it's not sappy or melodramatic.)
