I just wanted to make a quick topic about some simple board rules to follow =) The following topic includes FAQ, an explanation of Spam and Netiquette, and some other things that should be noted before you post.

FAQ
Q: Dollpoints, what are they? How do I use and earn them?
A: Dollpoints are the official currency of TDP. You can use them to buy things in the dollpoints shop(which you can get to by clicking your dollpoints on the front page), buy dolls and bases, and other things. You earn them by doing various things on the site which include, but are not limited to, building dolls, signing in, writing stories, etc.

Q: How do I add an avatar/"that picture on the side"?
A: You add an avatar by going to profile and linking to a picture that you uploaded to a hosting site like photobucket or imageshack.

Q: How do I add imaes to my signature?
A: You can add images in your signature by uploading an image to the above mentioned hosting sites and using the code [img]URL of picture[/img] in the box for your signature(which can be found by clicking profile)

SPAM
1. Junk email that is sent to your inbox that you didn't sign up for, like advertising email or p*rn.
2. Stupid Pointless Annoying Messages. These can either be the same thread/post repeated over and over again, or threads/posts that consist of just a smilie or a LOL that serve no meaning whatsoever. It can also pertain to a thread started asking a question already answered in another thread or in a stickied FAQ, or an off topic thread. I've also been on strict boards that will delete as spam any abusive or obscene threads/posts.

Netiquette
Basically, board manners. A good site explaining netiquette far better than I could is here: http://www.albion.com/netiquette/corerules.html

The moderators on TDP forums would greatly appreciate it if you did not spam(for if you do, it will be locked/deleted) and if you used basic netiquette .
If you have any problems on the forums with another member or something posted, contact a moderator. Do NOT create a topic about that member/post or reply to any rude messages as the posts/topic will be deleted/locked.
If you want dolls made for you, please ask in one of the dolling forums or put your request in the custom doll section on the front page. If you are a maker offering dolls, please post any topics about you making requested dolls in one of the dolling forums or fill requests in the custom doll section.
And remember, have fun. This is what the forums are about =)
