That comparson work pretty well, Kitty; Gaia guilds have their own forums, and you have ot be approved/invited to be able to post. I've never run a guild, but I used to be in several until I more or less dropped Gaia entirely. XD

OK, a guild would cost 20,000g to set one up. Since I've just gotten what I'm saving up for, I can put that up and have made one. However, in order to add extra forums, we need guild funds. If you are a member of Gaia and wish to donate gold to the guild, please do so; then we can start adding specialist forums. ^^ I also need a banner for the guild; I don't currently have one. XD If you want the guild's address, then PM me so you can sign up. Please note that I'm feeling my way with this; you might have to wait til I approve you so be patient. ^^

By the way, it's easy as pie to sign up for Gaia. If you're not a member, I'll talk you thru it. If you are a member and wish to donate, please donate to the guild as it needs gold to create new forums and I already put down 20,000g, remember?

Edit: By the way, if updates seem slow, its because a lot is being worked out among members and with the actual board's appearance. I'll try to keep everyone posted since soon I'll be inviting some more people to come in and give feedback.

Edit #2: Also, I'm curious how everyone would feel about a contests forum? I think it'd be a lot of fun and people would be able to host their own contests anytime(probably within a limit--not every single person needs to run a contest at once ). Obviously the kinks need to be worked out, but I'm taking a look at some other dolling forums to see how they run it. Hopefully too I can rig up some form of forum currency and a system for it.

Mabye there could be a list of people who sign of for the contests? We do that in The_Contestants (a clique I'm in for dollmaking dolls,) and it seems to work out quite nicely.

I think this is similar to what Cat is saying but I was thinking something along the lines of (and this is depending on the type of contest) say 1 week per contest and then the next person signed up host theirs 3 days later so the person holding the previous contest has time to make awards and such. Something along the lines of a time schedule.

I think we should still continue with something like Miss TDP cause its a lot of fun.

Credit to Lancaster Princess for typing that out, of course. The current hoster of the contest would be listed at the top, then it would follow a list of the people who are going to be hosted, and then whoever is running the queue will update whenever a contest is closed and opened.

I think I get it. Is this run through the contests system or on the forums? I'll have to devise something if its through the system to apply it to the forums.

Nope, its run throught the Forums, but sometimes contests are hosted in the Contest Section or the forums, tho.
