Rant aside, The Color Purple was a very enjoyable musical. actaully, some of the actors who were in the Chicago Lion King were also in the Chicago production of TCP. That musical made me laugh, made me cry, and left me feeling lighter after it was over. It was so moving. Also, I'm partial to the Secret Garden, and Little Shop of Horrors, as well as Anything Goes,Once Upon A Mattress, and Thouroghly Modern Millie. (The first three I have performed in, the last two I am dying for the chance to perfom in). Wicked was good, too. (understatement) I've been obsessed with musical theater as long as I can remember. Seeing people say ignorant things about works of art drives me mad. I thought of more! I love Phantom, Jesus Christ Superstar, and Spamalot, thoight I've never gotten to see those performed live |

TDP really only puts famous things and so thats why a lot of the newer/ small time musicals didn't make it on there .
I've really only been to one musical and that was Annie . But I do watch a lot of musical movies and some songs that I've heard and listened too . My faveroites are as followed: Fiddler on the Roof , Hairspray , Wicked , Av. Q , Rent , Phantom of the Opera , Annie and Mary Poppins (I've only seen the movie but I really wish I could have seen it live but I guess the movie doesn't really count) . I really hate HMS . |
