The Lion King is not a baby show; saying that just shows your ignorance and the fact that you've never watched it.

And the broadway musical is even less of a 'baby show'. I'll have you know that the Lion King has a deeper meaning (like most Disney films) and is meant for people of all ages, Zach-Rules. Do you even know what Broadway is...? 'Baby shows' don't GO to broadway, FYI.

I love Wicked, and Phantom of the Opera was okay, but by far the best was Jesus Christ Superstar. It's electrifying and powerful, and not simply religious. Not that at all really, just because it's Jesus-y doesn't mean it's all preachy and such. Godspell, on the other hand, is awful. I hate it. I haven't seen many shows though-- so expensive!!

For your information, the broadway version of Lion King is by and far not a bay show. It is a beautiful piece with innovative costuming and technical wonders. I was ecstatic when my parents took me to see it when in was in Chicago. It blew my mind away! If you really cared about Broadway, you would realize that the year that musical came put, it swept the Tonys. if I'm not mistaken, it won everything it was nominated for...and it was nominated in every category.

Rant aside, The Color Purple was a very enjoyable musical. actaully, some of the actors who were in the Chicago Lion King were also in the Chicago production of TCP. That musical made me laugh, made me cry, and left me feeling lighter after it was over. It was so moving.

Also, I'm partial to the Secret Garden, and Little Shop of Horrors, as well as Anything Goes,Once Upon A Mattress, and Thouroghly Modern Millie. (The first three I have performed in, the last two I am dying for the chance to perfom in). Wicked was good, too. (understatement)

I've been obsessed with musical theater as long as I can remember. Seeing people say ignorant things about works of art drives me mad.

I thought of more! I love Phantom, Jesus Christ Superstar, and Spamalot, thoight I've never gotten to see those performed live
