OMG! Girl, why would you ever think this wouldn't get any loving? ESPECIALLY after all that work you did to create a unique background. I'm blown away; you really do pick up on things SO quickly

My absolutely favorite part of it is the frame...did you make it yourself (via vectors from google)? It just works so well for a fire doll.

Now, I wouldn't say this unless I really thought you could do it/were at this stage, but I think the next step for you to improve your dolls would be adding in some small animation, such as making the flames flicker. I think there are online image editors that allow for multiple frames, but if not, you can always use the GIMP which is my dolling and animating tool (and it's free )

I noticed she has a shadow; YAY! Shadows are always a very nice thing to have in a doll like this; really ties the whole thing together. Only CC I have about that is in response to the fishbowl; I'm not sure the shadow is in the right place as it seems to be floating/hovering. Maybe try using the perspective tool? If you did and I'm just not noticing, my apologies for being a hard-nosed nit-picker.

This is definitely your best doll so far, and that IS saying something looking forward to even more dolls building on the experience you gained from this one!

Cause I usually only get one or two replies.

But you have been my constant replyer(I know, not a word, well now it's my word!) and that makes me happy

Anyhoo, I did make that frame from a vector, and I really like it too. I haven't honestly thought of doing any animation to be honest with you. I'll have to check out the online editor I use. Unfortunatly I can't get GIMP. The computer I use the most is at work, and it is running Windows 2000 and I tried to download and older version of GIMP but of course the site wasn't compatible with the older version of IE

Yes I have started adding more shadows. On the whole piece and on the doll herself. I know I should have spent more time on the fishbowl. I'm kinda kicking myself today cause the white part in the bowl should be transparent, but after working on this so long yesterday I couldn't figure out why it looked funny. Of course I saved it as a layered Pixlr image so I could go and fix it, but I might just remember this as a learning experience. And no I didn't use the perspective tool... actually I've never used the perspective tool.... That's a good idea.

Bridie, again, thanks. And thanks for always commenting and helping me grow.

Erica: I appreciate your kudos too. I love all feedback no matter haw detailed, so Thank You!

So I haven't posted any of my most recent dollies. Mostly cause I am still so in love with my last one.

Oh well It's time to update! (in no particular order)

Lisa Frank Rnd 2 Entry
Credit:Purrrfection and Google
(little note. This was made before and after my Impossible Wishes doll, ya know that last one that is total AWESOMENESS!)
So I was kinda annoyed when every time I applied glitter her eyes would get glittered too. I kept changing the color of the bubbles and frame to fix it but it didn't work so I kinda just left it at that. I was kinda sick of look at the bright colors anyways. I recolored the tail using pallettes from KawaiiHannah cause Hue and Saturation editing does NOT give you a purple to yellow look THANK YOU VERY MUCH....O_o okee dokie I have lost it. Oh I can't remember where the head came from, I looked everywhere for hair that was kinda floating but not crazy....so yeah

NEXT DOLLEH!

Butterfly Fairy Friends
Credits: TDP Butterfly Fairy Maker and Google
So this was my entry for my first Contestants Club contest. I am so enjoying being a member of the club. Anyhoo pairs of people were assigned to different dollmakers and we had to doll both ourselves and our partner. I really enjoyed this one. My fairy self came together really easy, but I ended up doing a lot of editing on Tristan Fairy cause she was being a total Butterfly Fairy Diva ^^. My only regret is all of the text. If I could go back I would take off the 'Bff' and our names.

NEXT

Ms Shino Tek Tek Style
Credits Tek Tek and Purrrfection
This is for Miranda's contest where we doll ourselves using Tek Tek. I was a lot of fun. There are soooo many options!! And now I notice some pink that is supposed to be glittered isn't glittering... grrr I wish I would have noticed that before I entered it. Oh well. I had to use a different computer so that is my only excuse. And incase you are wondering the frame is from Purrrfection and everything else is from Tek Tek.

Last, but not least

I have to say I am actually kinda proud of this one. This was just finished like and hour ago.

Fantasy Pets
Credits Purrrfection and Options (Ness's and Lovie's Makers. THEY ROCK!)
So this is for Miranda's contest Fantasy pets. Here's how this came about. I was just looking through Lovie's maker on my phone late the other night and I came across the most adorable plant (yes I think he's adorable) the next day I can't remember where I found him, so I scoure both Purrrfection and Options and start gathering things to go with the elusive plant (I swear I had 30 backgrounds alone) Well I finally found my lovely plant and of course I started putting things together. The hardest part was her clothes. The skirt is the bottom part of a dress of a laying down dress and the vines for the top actually were attached to some skirt thing, I had to take it apart to properly cover her bits though. ^^ I made the jewelry (which isn't much). Overall I am pretty proud of this doll. One thing I would like comments on is the backlighting I kinda gave it a try and I would like to know what people think.

Your last doll is AMAZING! Without reading I totally said "Omg how'd she make it glow with the moonlight?!" I would love to see a tutorial on that!

And I liked that you put the names on your club doll, but that may just be me. Btw I still lulz that you said Butterfly Tristan was being a bit of a diva. xD

Thanks Lovie. I'm glad the glow actually looks good to more than just me. I'll have to think about putting a tut together on that. I just need to get the time.

Augh! Back to work!

So I decided to help out with the Halloween events. Here are the dolls that I made for the Stories contest. I am so proud of these, and I had tons of fun!

Witch
Dollmakers: Options and Purrfection
Other: Google for the pentacle
I had tons of fun making this one. She came together really quickly. Oh and I made the cross/rosary myself.

Vampire
Dollmaker: Options and Purrfection
I had a lot of fun with this one. Except when Pixlr closed and I had to start completely over. *grrr* I re-colored her dress and skin in paint. The pallettes I used came from two different sites and I can't remember where O_o Oh and on the dress I added noise to give it more texture, but there isn't a lot. And if you don't like the fan, well, tough. Cause I totally LOVE it!

Ghost
Dollmakers: Options, Purrrfection and Styledollz.com (head)
Other: Google for the two background images (except the moon) and the frame.
I had waaay to much fun with this one. I think I spent just as much time on the background as I did the actual doll. The background is actually 3 images. The cemetary which was a day picture, the cloudy night which had a really tiny moon, and of course the moon. And I couldn't be happy with just making the doll transparent, oh no, I had to seperate hair, body and dress into different layers and then make each one different so I was happy with the effect. Of course I loved it the whole time. And I learned from the last one and I saved constantly!

Anyhoo I have tons of stuff to get working on. I would love to hear everyone's comments. Oh and if you really wanna show some love go enter the story contest. (I entered a story!) Oh and don't forget to check out Miranda's story dolls too.
