Ж-The Royal Dollery-Ж
Well, I need a place to post the dolls I make, so I suppose this is it.
First doll is some flapper for the decades contest. The doll is supposed to look like an old, grainy, faded photo inside a golden frame. The dress goes just below the knees, which was very typical of the time, and considered quite daring back then. Since the shoes could be seen and weren't hidden by skirts, the 20s brought on shoes as a truly fashionable thing, and designers were starting to play with different styles of shoes. I also gave her the typical short her, rouged cheeks, and extremely dark eyes of the time. The hat she's wearing is a "cloche" hat, "cloche" being French for Bell. The frame in and of itself is Art Deco-inspired. Art Deco was an artistic movement going on during the 20s that favored clean lines and geometric shapes.
Cloche hat, fur shawl, pattern on dress all made by me.
Border is from Royalty Free Stock Photo: Art Deco Style border frame

The doll looks truly amazing , I love it , hopefully I am gonna be like you one day XD.
Thank you. ^^
NEW! For Miranda's Donkeyskin contest, round two: moon gown. The beautiful princess that doesn't seem to have a name has three dresses; one a brilliant blue like the sky, one a sparkling silver like the moon, and another a glowing gold like the sun. Here is my doll.

Frame made and glittered by me.
Doll made for the place contest in the contest thread here. Not much to say about it except that it's supposed to represent the state of New York, tohugh the picture shows Times Square in Manhatten (NYC) specifically.

Been a while, hasn't it? I start things, but never finish them... but here's a finished one! My Black Swan, for Miranda's Back in Black contest! (No, this it not specifically Natalie or her movie's persona; I have loved Swan Lake since I was a child)
Miranda, if you feel that the hair is a bit too close to brown for comfort, I'll edit; otherwise, I wanted it to have some color in the highlighting, as I hate grey with a passion.

Face editing (mostly makeup), hair and dress recolor, frame design and glitter all done by me.
NEW! There's an astrology themed contest Miranda is running, and I had to try something different...
My sign was Libra. This doll is meant to look like she's in some sort of astrology trading card. And cards don't have animated glitter, do they? So I skipped it.
Born between Sept 24th - Oct 23 (Northern Hemisphere)
Colors: Pink and/or Blue
Stones: Opal or Sapphire (sources differ)
Lucky Day: Friday
If you'll notice, I pixellated the planet Venus in there myself (no, it's not a second moon hanging in the sky), and the stars in the yellow border have opals in them, also pixellated by me. Libras are represented by the Scales, which signify balance, and the girl is holding them. The original background had a Latin number in the sun and 'the stars' along the bottom, which I changed.
